Sunday Art Class in the Peas and the Mudd

Today, we held class outside within the Peas community. It was colder than usual, making students not want to walk over to the community center, so we decided to go to them. The past week, we made sure to grab photos of everyone that has been participating in the art program. So this week, we enticed them to come and join us, by giving the students photos of themselves making the mural together. Students were thrilled.
There was a group of about 12 students, who we made valentines day cards with. We sat outside gathered around a picnic table together. They were listening, and really interested in working with us, creating very beautiful cards for one another. Each week, we have been gaining students trust, and respect, which was evident in todays class. Students made heart chain necklaces that they wore home. We showed them how to made heart cards, and how to write different positive messages.
Working along side one another.

Excited to show his work!

We had a mixed group of boys and girls, who were eager to show off their work at the end!
